We are going to be in a documentary!

A famous actor, who shall remain unnamed until this thing actually happens, will be stopping by All Saints Tattoo late October to film part of a documentary about death and memorials to death. This actor did an amazing documentary on Route 66 a few years ago, and we are super duper stoked to be a part of his upcoming project!

If we tattooed an interesting or unique memorial tattoo on you, contact the shop via email (through the shop website www.allsaintstattoo.com) and you could be in the documentary!! Pretty cool right?

They are looking for different types of memorial tattoos -not just praying hands but anything that was a memorial to anything dead.

2013 STAR OF TEXAS TATTOO CONVENTION AFTER PARTY!!

ALL SAINTS TATTOO IS THE OFFICIAL HOST OF THE AFTER PARTY FOR THE STAR OF TEXAS TATTOO ART REVIVAL!!!!

Yep we will be hosting the main after party shindig for the 2013 Austin tattoo convention. The Star of Texas convention is Friday January 18th through Sunday January 20th at the Parmer Events Center ,

 

and our after party will be Sunday night after the con.

We will have a keg, canned beer maybe some booze and definitely some AMAZING Texas style BBQ from our friends at Blue Ox BBQ!!

Blue Ox catered our grand opening party as well. Remember them? YUM. They're opening their brick and mortar building (fingers crossed) by January 17th, so the it's gonna be a pretty busy week for those guys!! Their new location will be off East Riverside, across from Emo's and the Beauty Ballroom at 1505 Town Creek Drive

Also, pre-After Party, we will have a booth at the tattoo convention, with Jon Reed, Chris Cotner and Hannah Skalsky all working the weekend. The con is open from noon til 10pm on Friday and Saturday and Sunday only til 7pm, and then it'll be time to head over to the After Party at 8pm!! See you there!!!

Chip has been working at All Saints since before day one, he helped transform the shop into what you see today. Jon Reed, owner of All Saints, and Chip have been working together for over 6 years now - they previously worked at True Boo Tattoo on Red River. Chip's style is all his own - a unique blend of old school ideals and newer school design elements and themes. He works Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday nights and he also works Sunday day and does appointments only on Monday nights. Go here to see his cray cray work:

HANNAH SKALSKY NOW AT ALL SAINTS!!

What what!! We got a new tattooer at Ye Olde All Saints!! Hannah Skalsky has just moved to Austin all the way from Fort Worth TX and she has decided to make All Saints her new home.  She is the former co-owner of Royal One Tattoo in Fort Worth and she's been tattooing for about 10 years now which brings the shop average up to 67 years of combined tattoo experience. Damn!! Our experience can get on Medicaid!! Can I get on Medicaid too? I like free health care.

The new stickers are IN!!!!! And they are AWESOME!!!

They're 2"X6", made from heavy duty vinyl and are perfect for outdoor use -cars and stuff. They were hand made on a silkscreen press by Sticker Robot - wait! Why am I trying to sell these things? They're FREE dammit just get off yer butt and come down to the shop and grab one!!

Driving too much for ya? Or are you driving from say, New Jersey to pick up a sticker? No need all you gotzta do is send us a good old fashioned SASE and we'll send you a couple!!

What's a SASE you say, you who were born after the internet was invented? Why it's a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope - you grab two envelopes, put a stamp on both. On one envelope put your name and address, fold it up and stick it in the second envelope. Seal the second envelope and send it to us!! BOOM. That's it! As soon as we get your SASE we'll throw a couple of stickers and business cards in there and you just gotta wait for the snail mail to arrive!! Here's our address:

Quick Update

Hello Austin!! Sorry we haven't written in a while but it's been a hectic few months!! Firstly, since we last blogged we've had a new addition to our All Saints team:

Ben Haas, fresh from Milwaukee, WI (please insert Wayne's World joke here) started with All Saints about 2 months ago. He is an amazingly talented artist and all around nice fella - he's been making some beautiful tattoos since he got here. All Saints Tattoo Opening Party!

Meat and heat! 

Yesterday was our grand opening event and the turn out was better than we hoped for! 

Austin severely rules!!! 

If you live in texas you know we are in the center of a volcano weather wise, but we were lucky to have a small reprieve with some over cast and drizzle... 


At 7:00 on the dot, it was already full inside the shop... people were mingling and getting their meat on with BLUE OX BBQ ! SOO GOOD. THANK YOU for feeding us Blue Ox!  Treats from BIG TOP CANDY and mini cup cakes from SUGAR TOOTH BAKERY was also being devoured--- yummm.  Then we had our Raffle for Hank Williams the third tickets, shirts ( PRINTED BY ART DON'T PAY!) and chronicle Ads were flying --- We received Alter Sacrifices like Mary with a vile of holy water from Saint Louis Cathedral, Flowers and even teeth!! AND ( not least) Joe put up our KILLER graphic sign!

...the Shiner and Jameson was flowing Y'all !!!! 

So many friends old and new came to wish us well... We were sincerely touched by everyone's support! Even the ADORABLE Shanghai Kate Hellenbrand graced us with her presence giving us all old school stories about industry icons ( all good , i promise)  and tellings of her whirl wind tour dates of Europe about to kick off... we love you Kate! 

Our shop hostesses and hosts ( ok shop guys;)  Were a HUGE help organizing and being awesome... so thank you for being there for us... 

Full disclosure.... I don't own a flash so it was too dark and my photos are blurry ( and dark).. BUT here they are nevertheless :) ... ( running out to buy a nice little point and shoot today for such occasions) ..opps! Also, most of these photos are earlier in the evening so if i missed someone i apologize.. blah blah blu...
